Eminem set to perform in U.S. before European tour; rumors swirl about new album release

DETROIT, MI - Eminem is reportedly ready to get back on a U.S. stage.
Vibe Magazine reports Slim Shady will perform at G-Shock watches "Shock the World" event Wednesday in New York City.
Eminem's last full-fledged concert, according to the website setlist.fm, was Aug. 19, 2012 at the Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul, South Korea.
An excerpt from the Vibe report on its website:
"Marshall Mathers will rock the mic for the second year in a row alongside DJ Mick Boogie and Shady Records artist Yelawolf. James Marsden, Jessica Stam and Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez will also make appearances as guest speakers."

News of Eminem's G-Shock show comes at a time when he's preparing for a European tour this month. He's expected to put a new album out in 2013, too.
Several websites, including one called Mstars, suggest that Eminem could release the album on Labor Day (Sept. 2).
Eminem's European tour dates confirmed and posted on his website:
Aug. 15 - Pukkelpop Festival in Hasselt, Belgium
Aug. 17 - Slane Castle in Slane, Ireland
Aug. 20 - Bellahouston Park in Glasgow, United Kingdom
Aug. 22 - State De France in St. Denis, France
Aug. 24 - Reading Festival in Reading, United Kingdom
Aug. 25 - Leeds Festival in Leeds United Kingdom
It's unclear when (or if) Eminem will perform in Metro Detroit anytime soon.
What are your expectations for Eminem in 2013?
